JOB SUMMARY:
This position is located in the Office of Cuba Broadcasting in Miami, Florida. The incumbent is responsible for the creation, development, and production of all imaging and promotions campaigns, ensuring that they fit the station's goals and deadlines.

INTRODUCTION TO AGENCY
The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency, is an exciting, multi cultural organization that encompasses all U.S. civilian international broadcasting. The BBG is comprised of the Voice of America, which delivers high quality, multimedia programming in 44 languages to audiences worldwide; the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (Radio and TV Marti); the International Broadcasting Bureau, which provides transmission, administrative, and other support services; and three grantee organizations - Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty; the Middle East Broadcasting Networks (Alhurra TV and Radio Sawa), and Radio Free Asia. Our staff of dedicated professionals serves as an example of a free and independent media, reaching a worldwide audience with news, information, and relevant discussions.

- Responsible for all aspects of audio imaging production of Radio Marti branding and on-air promotions, public service announcements, vignettes and special events promotions from conception to creation to completion.
- Determines proper production values including music, sound effects and talent selection.
- Writes, produces, records and edits enticing topicals, special promos and radio material.
- Identifies and creates potential station promotional campaigns and implements them using quality broadcasts production techniques.
- Programs and maintains the Radio Marti station log to reflect changes in programming and maximize optimum scheduling of imaging and promotions.
- Creates and maintains marketing content on station website and social media venues to ensure consistent production values.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-11 and MUST have knowledge of Cuba, its people and culture including knowledge of Cuban broadcasting and listening habits and MUST be fluent in the Spanish and English languages.
Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have produced radio jingles that enhance the on-air branding, and have on hands experience producing from start to finish original and inspired audio imaging. Examples of this is: producing custom effects with details that jumps out as a powerful voice that delivers intense importance to what is being promoted to attract the listening audience, and other sound effects and music as needed for each creation.
