Applicants must meet the required screen out element: Ability to do the work of a Food Service Worker preparing customer food orders; Demonstrate intermediate performance in terms of speed and quality of work. Intermediate safety record. Meticulous in keeping things neat, clean, and in order. Able to respond to frequent and complicated changes in instructions. Reading, understanding and applying instructions related to the job without more than normal supervision and subject to occasional inspection.
In wage examining, there is no length of experience and/or training required to be eligible. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to do the work as listed above in the screen out element.
Physical Effort: Work requires light to moderate physical effort. Workers are subject to continuous walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling. They may be required to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment. They frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds; lifts heavier items with assistance.
Working Conditions: The work is normally performed in deli or bakery area where some temperatures may be uncomfortable. Areas are well lighted, but there may be dangers of slipping on floors, exposure to hot surfaces and liquids, sharp cutting utensils, and extreme temperatures when entering walk-in refrigerators or frozen food units.
